#Spotlight moment on Priscilla Hill, CSR at Lowell RMV. I have been employed at the RMV in Lowell, Massachusetts for a year and a half now. My main responsibility is to provide excellent customer service to all our clients. This includes issuing licenses and vehicle registrations, assisting with form and application completion, and providing information on vehicle registration and titling requirements and guidelines. Before joining the RMV, I worked as a Customer Service Representative in the banking industry for 35 years. However, it was an employee who used to work at the RMV and has since retired who inspired me to pursue a career at MassDOT. One of my proudest achievements is being a mother to my sons. They have made me incredibly proud, and I am so grateful. Additionally, being hired by the RMV has been a long-standing goal of mine since the early eighties. My secret talent is styling hair. It's something I enjoy and have developed a skill for over the years. My advice to others is to go after whatever you want to do and experience in life. Never give up on your dreams. With hard work and faith, anything is possible. When I first started working here, I received many compliments from customers who appreciated how nice I was to them. They mentioned that it was the best experience they had ever had at the RMV. There is a misconception that all RMV workers are rude and mean, but I and my business partners prove otherwise every day! I strongly believe that everyone deserves to be celebrated, and it shouldn't be limited to a specific day. I am a firm believer in human rights and treating everyone with respect and dignity. #EmployeeSpotlight #Transportation #RMV #Lowell

MassDOT recently hosted a Meet and Greet to our Campus Partners at the District 3 #Worcester Highway Headquarters. The event was designed to showcase our agency and its operations, as well as to provide insight into the career progression from intern to full-time employee. By offering practical experience to students, we aim to equip them with the skills needed to excel in the field, gain hands-on experience and work closely with experienced professionals. During the event, participants had the chance to learn more about the intern roles and projects, interact with MassDOT Engineers and Staff, and explore our innovative District 3 Net Zero Headquarters. Additionally, former interns who are now employees shared their personal experiences and highlighted the benefits of exploring career opportunities at MassDOT. It was a fantastic event and thank you to all that attended this important event to support the upcoming talent across the Commonwealth. #Internship #Partnership #Interntohire #MassDOT

An exciting afternoon was had by the 2024 Interns of District 1. Interns experienced the world of bridge rehabilitation and engaged in discussions about the Montgomery / Russell I-90 Bridge project! The team was introduced to the immense scale of this endeavor and the various challenges it presents, from navigating through I-90 and managing traffic to working at dizzying heights above Route 20, the Westfield River, and the CSX railroad. They also engaged with the team responsible in handling the extensive steel and concrete repairs on the bridge. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the D1 Construction Department for generously sharing their time, knowledge, and expertise with the interns. #Montgomery #Massachusetts #Event #Berkshires #WesternMA #Engineers #MovingForward #Collegerecruitment #MassDOTCareers #Rural #Construction
