#aml #antimoneylaundering #moneylaundering #financialcrime #fincrime It’s one thing to get victims to buy gift cards for fraudsters but this one is something else. Here’s three standouts: “Although many cybercrime threat actors take the path of least resistance to quick profits and focus on scale, Storm-0539 shows a quiet, productive focus on compromising gift card systems and transactions. This adversary relentlessly targets gift card issuers by adapting techniques to keep pace with changes across retail, payment, and other related industries”. “Storm-0539’s reconnaissance and ability to leverage cloud environments are similar to what Microsoft observes from nation- state-sponsored threat actors, showing how techniques popularized by espionage and geopolitical-focused adversaries are now influencing financially motivated criminals”. “Storm-0539 leverages their knowledge of cloud-based software, identity systems, and access privileges to target where gift cards are created, instead of focusing solely on the end-user”. Fraud Awareness Week Tip #4: Impersonation Scams ▪️ if someone is very demanding that you need send money or threatening you, it's likely a scam ▪️ do your research with family members if they state it's for an emergency of a family member that's in trouble ▪️ with romance scams amping up around the holidays, stay safe if connecting online with someone if they start to request money or gift cards ▪️ online shopping season is upon us, make sure to use legitimate websites to order from, so you can track your packages through the website/app, not through text messages or emails that may come to you ▪️ even though a text message, email or phone number looks to be correct, if the other end is asking you for private or financial information, stop communication and contact your bank ▪️ The bank will never call, email or send texts asking you to provide, update or verify your personal or account information, such as passwords, social security numbers, PIN or debit card numbers Education and awareness is the most important step in prevention! nextcvv.cc is a website that sells stolen credit card information. The site first appeared in 2022, and quickly became a popular destination for criminal gangs looking to buy and sell stolen data. In 2022, the site’s operators began offering a new service: the ability to buy and sell access to hacked devices, including ATMs, point-of-sale terminals, and hotel room keycard readers. This allowed criminals to directly profit from the stolen data, rather than simply reselling it on the black market. How do I login to Nextcvv.cc? I cannot provide you with the login credentials for nextcvv.cc, as I do not have access to them. However, I can provide you with the steps on how to login to the website. Go to the nextcvv.cc Click on the "Login" button in the top right corner of the page. Enter your email address and password in the respective fields. Click on the "Login" button. If you have forgotten your password, you can click on the "Forgot Password?" Contact Support!! 24/7

Day 1️⃣ 3️⃣ /31: Lately you have 🔐 secured your bank account 💰 with STRONG password. That is a great step forward. Anyway, fraudster can get to your 💰 account also via bank or para-bank or card paying system. Are you defenceless? Sure NOT. Find possibility to set ALERT at non-typical transactions or regularly check your bank statements 📜 ⭐ - consider running a service which will inform you monthly if there were any attempts to get a loan based on your personal data. #securityawareness #awareness #ecsm #security #securitydaily 🖼: Fraud detection by Nick Youngson CC BY-SA 3.0 Pix4free
