On Sunday, June 30, 2024, Mount Sinai Health System participated in the 2024 NYC Pride March. Employees, friends, and family gathered, along with Mount Sinai EMS and ambulance, dedicating energy and support with the LGBTQ+ community. While this year’s march was shortened due to weather, Mount Sinai’s presence at the March has grown over the past decade, with employees across the Health System joining the contingent. Earlier this week, hundreds of people gathered for the dedication of Mount Sinai South Nassau’s Health Care Heroes Plaza. Thank you for the generous donation from Iris and Shalom Maidenbaum. The Maidenbaum Health Care Heroes Plaza will serve as a place to remember the selfless efforts of hospital nurses, doctors, and support staff who risked their own well-being to care for thousands of patients throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. #WeFindAWay

After her panel at the Aspen Ideas Festival, Dr. Isabelle Germano is excited about being at the forefront of brain-computer interface (BCI) development. We have expanded our Center for Post-COVID Care—the first and largest center of its kind—to another location to better serve patients in East Harlem and the South Bronx. The new site will help meet the needs of a growing number of patients with long-term symptoms from COVID-19 needing access to world-leading care. It will also enhance long COVID care for minority populations living in underserved communities who have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19, but underdiagnosed with long COVID. We recently opened a new Therapeutic Infusion and Genetics Satellite Pharmacy space at The Mount Sinai Hospital, and celebrated this important milestone with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
