Really impressive strategy to reach the market and hit the roads. But coming to cost part is it going to be imported the chassis or using the design and sharing revenue. Because the tariff for Chinese imports are still 27%. I think it comes down to the cost comparison of developing in-house or paying taxes.
I like this idea a lot. GM introduced it as a concept car in the early 2000's.
It's what so many brands promised to deliver with EVs but never got the product out the door. Glad to see it underpin some truly beautiful vehicles!

5moSkateboard EV Chassis fully integrated with software stacks is the first step to the future commoditization of automotive industry. In the end, EV’s will be commoditized just like flat screen TVs. There will be out of the box third party vehicle manufacturing (Foxconn, MIH, U Power, etc) for basic transportation and specialized manufacturing for high end brands that will use standardized Skateboard platforms skinned (inside and out) with brand specific features by the OEM
