No matter your organization's field or area of expertise, there will be a moment when need to urgently communicate with your audience during a crisis. Here are our top tips to prepare: ✅ Brainstorm a few rapid response scenarios to assess. ✅ Identify and assign roles for your team in each scenario. Be sure to identify who will be designated as the public-facing spokesperson and make sure they have received regular media training so they are prepared. ✅ Practice writing public statements for each mock scenario. Your north star in crisis communications is to be consistent, factual, prompt, and thorough. Rapid response moments can be intense but regular preparation will ensure you and your team are ready to act with confidence and clarity.
