Today marks my return to work at the Environment Agency after having the incredible opportunity to live in New Zealand over the last year. Flying out with no work lined up took me so far out of my comfort zone but I knew it was worth the risk. I was incredibly lucky to land a role for Ventia, working in Auckland West as their Communications and Stakeholder Manager-and what a role it was! I had the privilege to work on some amazing projects - from road rehabs to slip and storm repairs- and have learnt so much, both professionally and personally during my time there. More importantly than that, I was able to do this within the most amazing team. I am so grateful for their support and guidance whilst I navigated living and working in a new country. I’ve made some new life long friends and will miss their passion to do the best job they can, their professionalism and, most importantly their friendship. Thank you so much to each and everyone of #teamventia at Auckland West Contract. Now to get the IT sorted and catch up with my EA team.
