Khalida, Thank you for your terrific contributions from the stage and the floor at our event earlier this week. You are an inspiration.
I recently had the great honour and privilege of being invited as a VIP guest and speaker at the The New York Times event on Fashion and Sport in Paris. It was an incredible experience to share my journey and the profound moments I felt while wearing the national team jersey. Representing Afghanistan in the Women’s National team was not just a matter of national pride; it symbolized immense courage and determination. I'm thankful we had the opportunity to discuss the powerful role of athletes' voices and platforms in driving positive change for both people and the planet. The right sports kit significantly impacts a player's performance and self-confidence, especially when it's tailored to fit perfectly. I had the pleasure of sharing the panel with Sierra Quitiquit, an athlete who leverages her platform for climate justice. A special thanks to Rory Smith for moderating the session. I am also grateful to all the respected speakers and leaders in fashion and sport for sharing their knowledge and experience on how to drive positive change in people's lives and society as role models. One of the highlights of the event for me was hearing Candace Parker, former WNBA player and President of Adidas Women's Basketball. Thanks, Stephen Dunbar-Johnson @MirandaDunbar-Johnson for the opportunity. Especial thanks to our Afghanistan women's National campaign Team for accompanying Andrew Mitchell Kenza Essalama
