THIS!!! 🫶👏👊
Who says babies can’t be in the boardroom? When parents, and mothers specifically, are in leadership positions, things evolve for the better. Here’s a peek at a normal c-suite (or b-suite as we call it) meeting happening where 5 moms lead our company through the highs, the challenges, and the bottle feeds. When our CEO and co-founder Laura Modi showed up with her 3 month old, Etta, for a session not only did we celebrate that sweet baby—we fed her, bounced her, and cuddled her while sallying forth with Bobbie business decisions at hand. There are 13 babies—ages 3 months to 29 years old—between our c-suite and we are so proud to lead as a parent-first company. When we say this is for our babies too…we mean it! 💚

CEO, Movement Strategy - A Social-Centric Marketing Agency | Shorty Awards Agency of the Year | I talk about social-centric marketing from my perspective of building a social agency before social media marketing was cool
What do you do if someone threatens your brand with a lawsuit? How about asking what Liquid Death would do. Oh dear lord, not another Liquid Death thought leadership post. I know, I know, but it's just too good and the takeaway is so broadly applicable. For those who missed this, six or so months ago, Liquid Death launched an iced tea flavor called "Armless Palmer," a cheeky reference to the famous Arnold Palmer drink. But apparently, the Palmer estate didn't find it so amusing. They threatened to sue Liquid Death for using the Palmer name without permission. Now, most companies would have quietly backed down and pulled the product from shelves. But Liquid Death isn't most companies. Instead of capitulating, they saw an opportunity. They renamed the product "Dead Billionaire," a not-so-subtle jab at the Palmer estate's litigious nature. And then they sat back and watched the fireworks. The story went viral, with media outlets and social media buzzing about the clever comeback. Fans started snapping up cans of "Armless Palmer" before they disappeared from shelves, with some reselling them on eBay for hundreds of dollars. Overnight, Liquid Death had turned a legal threat into a marketing coup. They generated millions of dollars worth of free publicity, solidified their brand identity as a rebellious upstart, and created a collector's item that had fans clamoring for more. It was a masterclass in turning lemons into lemonade. And it's a lesson that every brand can learn from. In today's hyper-competitive marketplace, obstacles are inevitable. But so is social media. So the question is, how do you respond? Do you play it safe and hope the problem goes away? Or do you take a page from Liquid Death's playbook and turn that obstacle into an opportunity? Do you use it as a chance to show your customers who you really are, what you stand for, and why they should care? Do you find a way to turn a negative into a positive, to create something memorable and shareable that gets people talking? That's the essence of great social centric marketing. It's not about having the biggest budget or the flashiest ads. It's about having the courage to react in real time, to take risks, to be authentic, and to connect with your audience on a deeper level. So the next time you're faced with a lawsuit, a PR crisis, or any other obstacle, don't panic. Take a deep breath, channel your inner Liquid Death, and ask yourself: Instead of being afraid of social media, how can I use it to turn this lemon into lemonade? How can I use it to show my customers who I really am and what I'm made of? How can I create something that gets people talking, sharing, and buying? Because in the end, that's what great marketing is all about. Not playing it safe, but taking risks. Not blending in, but standing out. Not just selling a product, but getting other people to sell it for you.

Healthy soil grows healthy food for healthy people ❤️
Check out this tall drink of water!💧 Each spring, before we prep the fields for rice planting, we perform in-field and lab tests to see how our soil is doing—how much life there is above and below ground, what the nutrient concentration looks like, and more. In these photos, Gabrielle and Lacey from our Farm Operations & Sustainability teams are performing what’s called an “aggregate stability” test. 🤓 What’s an “aggregate stability” test? Here’s the dirt: First, Gabrielle and Lacey dug a 6” hole and took out a “soil aggregate,” otherwise known as a dirt clod (it’s a technical term). They put the dirt clod in a cup of water and set a timer for five minutes to see how murky the water got as the soil broke down. As you can see, the soil didn’t break down very much and the water stayed pretty clear, even after five minutes. This means we have pretty solid “aggregate stability.” Woo-wee! 🙌 🧐 Wait, what does “aggregate stability” mean and why does it matter? Well, aggregate stability allows water and microbes to move around within the soil, increasing water availability and supporting biological activity, organic matter, and nutrient cycling. In other words, it indicates healthy soil. Our unique adobe clay soil is also perfect for growing rice since it holds water like a bathtub. Once more for the people in the back: Woo-wee! 🙌 Tests like this one help us understand the impacts of our regenerative organic farming practices, like growing cover crops during the winter, which can help sequester carbon and restore nutrients to the soil. After all, we believe it all starts with healthy soil—we nourish it so it can nourish us. Can you dig it?! 🌱 #regenerativeorganic #regenerativeagriculture #organicrice #organicfortheplanet #farmliketheworlddependsonit

As the largest network of executive women, we have some edits on *that* speech. In his recent commencement speech, Kansas City Chiefs player Harrison Butker guessed that the majority of the women graduates were “most excited about marriage and children.” Our take? Stop reducing women to stereotypes or labels. Take it from thousands of Chiefs — CEOs, CFOs, CMOs who run things. Here’s what a real Chief would say:
