Interior Designer @Catalano Dario Interiors // we deliver thorough expert advice, for the creation and production of interior design services in the commercial and residential sectors
The focal point of this #project , seen from the front, is a well placed desk that draws the eye. This deliberate design decision aims to produce a focal point that is both useful and visually appealing. The desk is positioned for #functionality as well as aesthetic appeal; it serves as the main workspace. The selection of materials, which includes refined #brass accents, crisp white cotton, and plush blue and beige velvet, adds to the sophisticated atmosphere overall. The lighting, which was thoughtfully chosen to highlight the desk's importance, gives the whole scenario a more sophisticated quality. The project's emphasis on both aesthetics and practicality is captured in this front perspective, where the desk plays a crucial role in defining the visual and practical aspects of the #workspace .

Founder and owner creative design studio "IDEA fix" - interior, architectural, landscape design Based in Ukraine, Great Britain
Milan Design Week has once again reshaped our vision of design beyond a mere showcase. It’s a full-blown design journey with multiple locations, each deserving a spotlight. Here's a snapshot: 🔴 Lombardini22’s brainy approach made pavilion navigation intuitively shorter – efficiency meets design. 🔴 David Lynch's A Thinking Room immersed us in a mystic union of film and furniture, proving every interior detail counts. 🔴 A culinary-design fusion at the kitchen biennale drew us into the future of natural ingredients (Pro tip: don't go on an empty stomach!). 🔴 The bathroom exhibit Under the Surface rippled our thoughts about water's fragility and its environmental impact. 🔴 And Samsung's AI-powered oven redefined cooking, promising a glance into a smarter future. Should you visit Milan? Absolutely. It’s a conversation starter on creativity, sustainability, and innovation – design as a tool for caring and connecting in our crazy world. Eco-responsibility, resource conservation, waste reduction, and wise consumption were themes close to my heart. As for the beauty and inspiration – words just fall short. #salonedelmobile2024 #milanodesignweek #underthesurface #milan

You think your space is too small to fulfil your big design dreams? Think again. Let me take you into a world where small spaces pack an exciting punch. Transform your cosy haven into a space that defies its dimensions — “where every nook tells a story and every square inch radiates personality”! Weave these innovative design concepts into your space, turning the limitations of size into a canvas for impactful living! #1-Think Vertically: Utilise vertical dimensions. Install floating shelves or tall bookcases to draw the eye upward, creating a total look. #2-Multi Purposing: Furniture that wears multiple hats! A sofa that transforms into a bed, a coffee table with hidden storage—invest in pieces that serve dual purposes, blend functionality with style. #3-Mirror Magic: Expand your space visually by strategically placing mirrors. They not only reflect light but also create an open atmosphere, making your area feel more spacious and airy. #4-Fold and Flex: Say hello to foldable furniture. Tables, chairs, or desks that can be easily stowed away when not in use provide instant flexibility. #5-Tech-Savvy Solutions: Integrate smart home technology from automated lighting to space-saving gadgets, let technology be your ally in creating a modern and efficient living space. #6-Green Oasis: Bring nature indoors with space-saving plants and vertical gardens. Not only do they add a touch of tranquillity, but they also contribute to improved air quality. #7-Artistic Illusions: Play with optical illusions through creative wall art or murals. Strategic use of patterns and artwork can visually expand your micro-living space, making it a captivating and immersive environment. Whether you're a minimalist seeking simplicity or a trendsetter craving innovation, these ideas can truly enhance your exploration, promising to make your small space resonate with grandeur! Get ready to witness the extraordinary, where size is just a number, and impact knows no bounds. Your micro-living but full-living adventure begins here! Living large in a small space? We want to hear your story! Comment your go-to hack you add to your cosy haven! #microspaces #smallspaceliving #spacesaving #interiordesignideas

Cradles of Design: Exploring Symbolism in the Cantilever Chair and Aeron Chair The cantilever chair, originating as a sketch by Mart Stam in 1926 and further developed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, represents a pinnacle of Bauhaus furniture design. In architectural discourse, the cantilever chair symbolizes innovation and defiance of traditional structural norms. By suspending the seat without traditional rear legs, it challenges conventional notions of support and stability. The Aeron Chair, designed by Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick in 1994, offers a stark contrast to the cantilever chair in both form and function. Embracing ergonomic principles, the Aeron Chair prioritizes comfort and support through its innovative mesh design and adjustable features. Unlike the cantilever chair's bold defiance, the Aeron Chair embodies adaptability and responsiveness to the needs of the sitter. In the context of religious symbolism, the Aeron Chair can be likened to the nurturing embrace of the Madonna, offering ergonomic support and comfort akin to maternal care. Its design reflects a modern interpretation of the Madonna and child motif, emphasizing care and well-being in the built environment. The juxtaposition of the cantilever chair and the Aeron Chair underscores the complexity of architectural and religious symbolism within design. While the cantilever chair represents daring innovation and defiance, the Aeron Chair embodies adaptability and care, mirroring the dualities inherent in architectural creation and the eternal quest for the acme of design excellence. #CantileverChair #AeronChair #DesignHistory #BauhausFurniture #ArchitectureSymbolism #MadonnaAndChild #DesignEvolution #ArchitecturalInnovation #IconicChairs #creativeauthorship

#Cosmos, the Furniture System infinitely expanding in space. Milan Design Week 2024. Tecno Showroom Piazza XXV Aprile, Milan April 16th – 21st 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Presented during the Milan Design Week 2024, the Cosmos Table and Furniture System, an initiative of the Design and Innovation Unit of the Norman Foster Foundation, has been created with the ambition of exploring the limits of materials in the field of furniture and product design. The Norman Foster Foundation has been advancing research on the design of this system since 2019, now produced in collaboration with Tecno. Cosmos is a modular furniture system that opens up to endless connections and layouts: single desks, meeting tables, shared workstations and equipped bookcases, all freely configurable and combinable with one another while offering the possibility of including wiring, screens, extensions and lighting. The design feature is the use of the least amount of material possible. For this purpose, an innovative structural concept has been developed: a slender, iconic and elegant solution accommodating all the needs of cross-functional environments which require a fluid use of the space, from executive environments, to campus and hotel settings, from libraries to lounges and public areas, to the home. #Tecno #NormanFoster #Design #MilanoDesignWeek #Cosmos #NormanFosterFoundation
