#Day166: How you do your lunch is how you do your investing. Huh?! Lol, paraphrased from “how you do anything, is how you do everything”. Well, let me explain. I’m not sure if these are common practices… But I’m mindful of what dishes I order at Chinese mixed rice stall during lunch. I avoid dishes where they mix meat with vegetable …because they would charge the entire dish for meat’s rate. It’s like when many said “you should diversify”. While that’s sound advice, but do you know what are you diversifying into? Winners win, and will higher likely continue to win. My personal preference is to stick with big companies that grow (not penny stocks that might moon). No right or not, I just don’t prefer penny stocks. It’s like buying processed luncheon meat and they charged you for a real meat’s rate. Bad deal. Every investment comes with risk and reward. The question isn’t “this is a good investment?” The question is “am I getting the best bang of my buck, according to my goals and profile?” If I don’t wanna get sick, I better not order fried chicken. PS: Bonus, “Timing the market”. We know that Chinese mixed rice is an economical choice among Singaporeans. But how to make sure I don’t get into a bad deal? I generally lunch at 1130am, because most of their food is at a pretty fresh state. I get to skip lunch crowd too. My time is my life. Don’t waste life. If I needed to have late lunch, I’ll choose fish souped noodle instead Because it’s priced similarly, has real meat, and will be at its freshest state. I usually avoid meat with vegetables like steamed eggs with minced meats, they are charging it as meat price... At times, they can just simply charge any price they want so nowadays I avoid mixed rice stalls...
