In the first 48 hours of 2024, I received six messages from candidates inquiring about job vacancies. New Year, New Job? If this is the case for you, here are some tips: First, take time to raise your self-awareness and think deeply about your decision. Ask yourself questions like: - What do I enjoy doing, or what gives me energy, and why? - What kind of environment do I want to work in and why? - What kind of interactions do I want to have at work and why? - What are the most important things for me when I'm looking for a new job? At Xref, we are now back to work, and although we may not be hiring at the moment, I encourage you to keep an eye on our Careers page and apply for future positions. I wish you a happy new year, and I hope that if you are looking for a job, our paths may cross this year. 🙂

This article is totally spot on. Nothing pains me more when I speak to SMB owners and find they've spent thousands of dollars on a consultant who's delivered a 'strategy' that can't be easily and cost effectively delivered. Prior to signing off on any consultants proposal, take a deep breath and check, for those 'red flags'.
Is working with a career consultant best for SMBs, or are there red flags to watch out for? Read our newest article now. https://lnkd.in/gxiydtHC

🗣Don't let the number of applicants deter you from pursuing your dream job It's not uncommon to see job postings with hundreds of applicants, but here's a little secret: from my experience, a significant portion of those applicants might not even meet the qualifications or be located where the job is offered. So, if you have the skills, qualifications, and genuinely believe you'd be a great fit for the role, don't hesitate to apply! After all, you'll never know unless you take the opportunity. Your unique talents and experiences could be exactly what the employer is looking for. Remember, it's not about being the most qualified candidate; it's about being the right fit. So go ahead, submit that application and let your potential shine!

On the job hunt? In this workshop I'll be sharing strategies and tactics many of my clients have been using to land their next awesome thing FAST. This is not the same old stuff you've probably heard before (e.g. focus on special keywords to trick their computer, hide your age, quantify accomplishments). My ideas are different, they're better, and they get people hired. Even if you can't join at the exact time, I'll be sending around a replay to those that register. Let's get this job search stuff handled. https://lnkd.in/eVrk7smf
