ARC: Artist-Centric Models

ARC: Artist-Centric Models

The creator economy and looming Web3 present tremendous and unprecedented opportunities for artists and creators of all shapes and sizes to build communities with their fans, to monetize their art, and to innovate using tools and technologies. In music, we often view the landscape according to broad catalogs, with business models and licensing structures apportioned accordingly. Now I am witnessing the strong emergence of artist-centric initiatives from labels, artist teams and platforms. Introducing ARC = artist-centric models, in which the constellation of rights surround an artist, not a catalog owner, and the business model and deal structure need equally innovative approaches to enable this new phase. I see no end in sight for music opportunities in the metaverse, and view this as an empowering moment in time to reinvent and reimagine the digital music industry. vickie nauman As an afro-centric singer/songwriter this is incredibly intriguing to me. I have always found that the past and existing the music Industry business can still be quite exploitative to the musician. Please can you do a teaching about how as musicians we can empower ourselves in this new artist centric model age and not get left behind. Thank you in advance🙏🙏

Vickie, let’s speak..you know why I am interested to see how we can help push this along to monetise the artist and allow them to hold onto their IP

Totally agree! Not far from what we discussed Vickie!
