Digitization and robotics are not ends in themselves. People are always at the center.

Automated systems and goods logistics secure our supply just as much as our productivity and jobs in high-wage countries. Digitalization is clearly on the rise. Today, not only employees are networked with each other, but also machines, #logistics and products. People interact with the networked factories and use data and cloud-based services in daily production operations.

The trend here is clear: It's no longer just about automating individual work steps. Customers want total solutions. This is the only way to master the challenges. Example: #reshoring. Even if it is still too early to determine a medium-term development: we are receiving more and more inquiries from companies that want to bring part of their production back to their home countries. #Automation enables this development and ensures global competitiveness even in high-wage countries with rising inflation rates.

New technologies play an important role for a sustainable future. According to the digital association Bitkom, the greatest potential for CO2 savings lies in the areas of industrial manufacturing, mobility, energy and buildings. This means:

#Digitization, #robotics, #artificialintelligence and co. can not only make our lives and work easier, but also support us on our way to a more sustainable future.

Not only for us and our customers, but for us as a whole society, this topic is becoming increasingly important and has - not only recently - gained further explosiveness.

Thinking and acting sustainably is of great importance, especially for a technology company like KUKA , because we are shaping the working world of tomorrow with our products and solutions.
