Job Orders with a "3rd Rail" - RUN!!!

Most job orders/descriptions are a "wish list" in the first place. Every one wants a Superman or a Wonder Woman! A good recruiter should have the perception and insight to seperate the chaff from the wheat and filter out the core/must skills. But what does one do when totally subjective "skills" are included to affect the "optics"?! Should have worked in large companies or should not have worked for large companies. Should have a nose-to-the-grind approach or should be friendly and an extrovert?!! The client is looking for VERY specific skills and those should matter, period! If he's 6'2" or 5'2" should NOT matter! Working on these req.s can be a total waste of time, so recognize them for what they are ASAP and then? RUN!! You could go through all the hoops and then get dumped because "the candidate was not a cultural fit"! Yes he/she is great but his/her smile was not what we were looking for! LOL
