Mason City Limits Comedy Club Announces Summer Schedule
Traditionally things slow down at Mason City Limits Comedy Club from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The 12 year old comedy club will offer an abbreviated summer schedule that has just been announced. The shows include some special events and some new faces.
The next special event is Patti Vasquez who headlines June 8 & 9. Besides hosting, The Patti Vasquez Show on WGN Radio, Patti is a seasoned a stand-up comedian and co-creator of the upcoming series Patti Happens.
Patti was born and raised in Chicago and is an internationally performing comedian. As a host, Patti quickly claimed the number one spot for late night radio. She has appeared as a commentator for WGN-TV Morning News and Fox’s Good Day Chicago. She also served as a fill-in host for WCIU’s You & Me in the Morning. Patti has appeared on TBS’ Very Funny and The Bob & Tom Radio Network.
Yuk Off Productions hosts the Jokes and Jello Shots Comedy Showcase on Saturday, June 23rd. This $5 show features the best up and coming comedians in the Midwest.
Ryan Singer, another special event, headlines July 6 & 7. Ryan is the host of the podcast, Me & Paranormal You for over 200 episodes. Ryan is preparing to record his fourth comedy album the following week in Cincinnati. He was selected by LA Weekly as one of, 10 LA Comics to Watch, for 2014, was mentioned in NY Magazine as a, Comic to Watch, was one of 4 finalists in the original CMT’s Next Big Comic Contest, is a frequent guest on the WTF Podcast w/Marc Maron and the Bob & Tom Show, and his joke “United Snacks of America” has over 8 million listens on Pandora.
A new face will grace the stage as Hypnotist Josh Meador will headline. This PG show will also feature two local comics doing clean sets before Josh performs for an hour. Buzz Sutherland from The Disney Cruise Line headlines August 3 & 4.
