A mind is a terrible thing to waste, but a wonderful thing to invest in.
About us
The Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) was established in 2021 to address the need for more robust and intentional training and development opportunities for staff and faculty at HBCUs and PBIs. The TLC intends to support participating HBCUs and PBIs in improving the quality of their curricula and instruction by providing access to resources and expertise that may not have been available in the past. The TLC will assist institutions in overcoming performance obstacles to drive change and support the formal, ongoing efforts that are made within institutions to improve the skill development and self-fulfillment of employees. Through a variety of programs, such as faculty and curriculum development, and fundraising training and strategic planning, the TLC will create customized approaches to meet institutions’ needs. In addition to engaging with institutional employees, the TLC will be a resource for internal UNCF training and organizational development needs.
