Four nights of maintenance works on the A355 and A332 Royal Windsor Way get underway next week.
The final phase of essential repairs includes resurfacing the northbound and southbound carriageways, line painting, street lighting maintenance, barrier repairs and routine drainage maintenance.
Overnight closures on the section of road between the B3024 Dedworth Road roundabout in the south and the roundabout at the junction with the M4 in the north, will be in place from 9pm until 5am to facilitate the work.
Both roundabouts will remain open.
Work will take place over four nights between Monday, May 20 and Thursday, May 23 with phasings as below:
During the work to the northbound section of the road, the southbound carriageway will remain open, and vice versa.
Signed diversions will be in place during all work phases.
The diversion route will be as follows: A308 Maidenhead Road, A308 Windsor Road, A308 Braywick Road, A308 Kings St, A308 Frascati Way, A4 Bad Godesberg Way, A4 Saint-Cloud Way, A4 Bath Road, A355 Tuns Lane.
Works are being undertaken by the council’s highways contractor, VolkerHighways with the asphalt preservation treatment extending the life of the road surface and reducing future maintenance requirements.
Access for emergency vehicles and residents and businesses located within the work area will be maintained but delays could be encountered.
The project is weather-dependent so the programmed start and completion dates may change, with any changes displayed on Advance Warning signs on site.
