Ryan Garcia is about to take on a new challenge outside the ring, as he's stepping into the role of head trainer for his brother, Sean Garcia. According to Ryan, the training regime he's devised could potentially help Sean earn up to $50 million.

This move comes after Sean's recent underwhelming performance against Amado Vargas at the Honda Center. Sean, like Ryan, came in overweight by 3 lbs. However, unlike his brother's strong showing against Devin Haney, Sean struggled throughout the match.

He was knocked down in the fourth round and ultimately defeated by a body blow in the sixth. Ryan, clearly displeased with his brother's performance, decided to step in as Sean's trainer.

"Skipped rehab for this sh*t," Garcia said after the bout.

Garcia's announcement on social media

Following the fight, Ryan took to social media to announce his new role and share his training plans for Sean. Ryan, who is currently undergoing rehabilitation for alcohol issues and serving a year-long ban for PED abuse, also humorously addressed his new responsibilities on his X handle.

"Sean may have taken an L. But here's the great news about that," Garcia said.

"I wasn't in his corner. The Vargas brothers, they are 1-0 on us. It's okay. We're gonna call for the rematch. And I'm the head trainer. Amado, what's good?"

Ryan Garcia, with a professional record of 24-1, reportedly earned $50 million from his fight against Haney in April, before testing positive for the performance-enhancing substance ostarine.

"Ostarine alcohol and the right hook for Sean is the regiment I'm currently working on with Sean And then the permanent ban after he makes 50 million," Garcia joked on X.
