The Temporary Cash Assistance program is a federal scheme providing a financial boost to families with children under the age of 18 to help them become sustainable. So, when are benefits paid, how much will you get and what exactly is the TCA?
The program can also be claimed for 19-year-olds, provided that they're full-time secondary school students, as long as families meet the right technical, income and asset conditions to be deemed eligible.

The child's countable assets must not exceed $2000 and the relative caregiver must be related to the child within the specified degree of relationship to the parent or step-parent. Furthermore, the child's net countable income must not exceed the payment standard for their age.
Cooperation with child support enforcement is required from the relative caregiver, including identifying and locating the parents, proving the child's legal relationship to their parent, and obtaining court-ordered child support payments.
Children under the age of 5 must be up to date with immunizations, and children aged 6 to 18 must attend school as part of the Learnfare requirements.
How much is Temporary Cash Assistance in Florida?
