The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in Florida, commonly known as food stamps, provides financial assistance to low-income individuals and families to help them purchase nutritious food and with monthly payments in place, who will be getting their benefits in the final week of the month of June?

The SNAP program is administered by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) and plays a crucial role in assisting low-income households in Florida, ensuring they have access to adequate nutrition.

It helps alleviate food insecurity and supports the health and well-being of vulnerable people, including children, the elderly, and the disabled. The program also stimulates the local economy by providing funds that are spent at grocery stores and other food retailers.

SNAP benefits can be used to buy a variety of foods, including fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy products, bread, cereals, and seeds or plants that produce food for the household to eat.

However, SNAP benefits cannot be used to purchase non-food items such as pet foods, household supplies, alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, vitamins, and medicines, or hot foods that are ready to eat. Additionally, there are restrictions on purchasing food that will be consumed in the store.

Here is the payment for the final week of June. It's based on the case number assigned to a claimant and reverses the eighth and ninth digit of that number whilst discarding the 10th to give you the number needed to work out your date of payment.

  • Case number: 79-81. 23rd of the month
  • Case number: 82-85. 24th of the month
  • Case number: 86-88. 25th of the month
  • Case number: 89-92. 26th of the month
  • Case number: 93-95. 27th of the month
  • Case number: 96-99. 28th of the month

Is Florida getting emergency SNAP benefits?

Whilst there are no longer emergency SNAP benefits after they were stopped at the end of the Covid-19 pandemic, there is a program that can offer aid to Floridians affected by disaster in the local area.

If an incident becomes a presidentially-declared event, then Floridians on SNAP will gain extra food benefits to try to manage through the crisis that will be deposited onto their Electronic Bank Transfer (EBT) cards.
