The Dallas Cowboys' postseason exploits ended in disappointment and there may be some concerns that a war of words between two team-mates could wreck their preparations for the new campaign.

A bizarre row unfolded after Micah Parsons was called out by Cowboys hooker Malik Hooker for putting his off-field activities above the team.

Parsons has been one of the NFL's best defenders since he entered the league in 2021, racking up 40.5 sacks and 51 tackles for loss, each ranking fourth in that span.

Away from the field, the 25-year-old began hosting his own podcast, 'The Edge with Micah Parsons', in 2023 and was recently named president of Bleacher Report's Gridiron division this year.

It seems those off-field activities have whipped up a storm with his team-mates, with Hooker in particular questioning his motives behind the podcast.

Ironically, Hooker made his controversial remarks while appearing on another podcast episode, joining former Pro Bowl receiver Keyshawn Johnson on the 'All Facts No Brakes' podcast on June 27.

"My advice would be for Micah: just make sure we're all right, and being where your feet are," Hooker said. "Because if we're out working, and the run game's terrible but you're doing a podcast every week - and you know the run game is terrible - then what are you really caring about?

"Are you caring about the crowd that's watching your podcast, or are you caring about the success of our team, and the Super Bowl that we're trying to reach?"

Micah Parsons responded to Malik Hooker comments

It's fair to say the linebacker wasn't amused with how Hooker made his disapproval known in a public setting, instead of speaking to him in the locker room.

"Just wish you said this to me but instead on some podcast!" Parsons wrote in his tweet, which has since been deleted.

"And you got my number family! And you my locker mate! So you coulda said this any day! And you do realize I shoot the podcast on our off day! Why ain't we talking about everyone preparations and focus."

Hooker then clarified his remarks, claiming Parsons's podcast "isn't hurting nothing" and described him as his "Little Bro", suggesting he had "baited" his team-mate with his comments.
