"Against all odds, there is now optimism that Saints QB Derek Carr (right shoulder) plays against the Bucs, sources say," Rapoport tweeted. "Dealing with an AC sprain, Carr did practice on a limited basis on Friday.

"The coaches will need to know he can protect himself. But there is a chance."

Rapoport reported that Carr was limited in practice on Friday and that coaches need to know if the QB can protect himself before deciding on his status for Sunday.

Start or sit Derek Carr in FF?

Fantasy football users who have Carr in their starting lineup are probably better off leaving him on the bench.

Even if Carr does play, he will likely be limited to a game manager, with running back Alvin Kamara taking most of the workload.

Kamara, 28, will fianlly have his for opportunity to put up points to this season in terms of fantasy football production. He is set for a resurgence in Week 4.
