Cape-Atlantic League Season in Review, 2024
Player of the Year: Chikaodi Wokocha, Absegami
Opposing coaches could not say enough good things about Wokocha, who this season was one of the best all-around players in the CAL and helped lead Absegami to its first conference tournament championship. This season alone he compiled 250 kills, 137 digs, 139 service points, and 26 aces, and is just as good as a net front presence as he is a defensive player on the back row. In the conference title game against Absegami, Wokocha led all players with 13 kills, which was his fifth straight game with double-digit kills. His ability to take over games is one of the biggest reasons for Absegami’s ascension in the CAL the last two years.
