Pro Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor was arrested in Florida on Wednesday on a felony warrant for failing to report his residence change as a registered sex offender, the Pembroke Pines (Fla.) Police Department said.
Taylor, 65, turned himself into the Broward Sheriff’s Office’s main jail in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and was released on bail Thursday, the Broward County jail said.
Taylor’s attorney, Mark Eiglarsh, said in an email the arrest was a “misunderstanding” and that Taylor would be pleading not guilty to the charges.
