What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Personal information that we’ll process in connection with all of our products and services, if relevant, includes:

  • Personal and contact details, such as title, full name, e-mail address, contact details and contact details history
  • Records of your contact with us via phone and online services, details such as your mobile phone location data, IP address and MAC address
  • Products and services you hold with us, as well as have been interested in and have held and the associated payment methods used
  • Marketing to you and analysing data, including history of those communications, whether you open them or click on links, and information about products or services we think you may be interested in, and analysing data to help target offers to you that we think are of interest or relevance to you
  • Tax information, if relevant to the country that you live in.

We collect personal data about you when you are using our products, or when you interact with us in person, through correspondence, by phone, by social media or through our website.  We also collect data about suppliers, partners and persons seeking a job or working in our company.

We use personal data mainly to perform direct sales, direct marketing and customer service activities.  We may use your information to send you marketing communications for which you have provided us with your consent.  This may include information about our products and services, events, activities, and promotions.  This type of marketing communication is subscription based and requires your consent.

We may also use your personal data to send you information about the products and services that you have purchased from us.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

When visitors use our contact form, we will collect the information that you share with us, to allow us to identify you through your name, address and contact details.  This information is used to contact you directly about our products and services.

Cookies

If you add items to your basket, these will be stored in a cookie, to allow you to leave and revisit the site, without having to re-enter these items into your basket.

If you enter detailed on the checkout page, these will also be saved, to allow you to leave and revisit the site, without having to re-enter these details to complete your purchase.  If you enter an e-mail address, we may use this to remind you that you have items in your basket that you have not purchased.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Analytics

We us analytics services, such as Google and Bing, to gain insights about you and our customers gained from analysing or profiling this data, to help us better target our products and services.

We use Lucky Orange to help us analyse and improve the customer experience and ease of use of our website.  This allows us to better understand what pages a user visits, how long they spend on each page and what page was being viewed when they left the site.

Who we share your data with

We will never pass any of your details onto any third party organisations or companies, unless they are a third-party supplier working on our behalf (such as PayPal and Stripe Credit Card Payments), or where there is a regulatory requirement to do so.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

You have the right to request a copy of your personal data that we hold, as well as requesting us to correct data that is incorrect or out of date.  If you are a registered customer of Re-wrapped Ltd, you can also update your personal details by logging into our website and amending your personal details directly.
