A new musical, exploring the ongoing struggle for equality through the story of suffragists in 1913.

After a successful, extended run at The Public Theater, Suffs comes to Broadway. Created by Shaina Taub, this impressive, sprawling new musical fearlessly delves into the ongoing quest for equality, spotlighting the triumphs and setbacks that came with the women's suffrage movement.

Set in 1913, the women's movement is gaining momentum in the United States, led by the suffragists, affectionately known as "Suffs." They are unrelenting in their pursuit of voting rights, bridging generational, racial, and class divides, as these remarkable but imperfect women both captivate and motivate us with their story of hard-fought victory.

Despite the considerable changes since the passage of the Nineteenth Amendment more than a century ago, we are reminded that sometimes, to march confidently into the future, we must first look back.

See it if into the women's equality struggle; a resonant all-female production with great voices and historical insights.

Don't see it if well - uneven; overly familiar or heavily preachy moments needing a refresh; but there are also ample opportunities to get verklempt.

See it if Costumes, staging and lighting are great. Some songs hit, others miss.

Don't see it if The lead who wrote Suffs is not good enough for this role, as such, she brings it down to so- so.

See it if You love a great and engaging story, and a superb cast. Each Suff is truly spectacular. I loved this show very much.

See it if I was resistant thinking it was a pro woman fight against men. I was so wrong. Such a well done piece of art. Shaina was phenomenal.
