Anime Defenders codes July 2024
Anime Defenders codes, while sparse, are worth their weight in free gems
[update title=”Latest update” time=”2024-07-08 11:00″]We’re waiting on a new Anime Defenders code even though the game lost in its RIA awards category.[/update]
Anime Defenders is now one of the biggest Roblox TD games. With over 170 units to choose from as of Update 2, it’s almost no surprise to still topping the charts almost three months after release.
New Anime Defenders codes drop with each major update—around every two weeks. But some can drop for social milestones, too. These promotional freebies are a great way to get gems for each patch’s top-tier units. Our Anime Defenders code list is primarily sourced from the game’s official Discord server.

How do I use codes in Anime Defenders?
Here’s how to use Anime Defenders codes – you need to be level 8 first:
- Launch Anime Defenders.
- Click the “…” button in the top-left row.
- Click the “</> Codes” button.
- Type in a working AD code.
- Hit Redeem.
If a code was entered correctly, you’ll see the rewards added to your account. Watch that Gem counter go up and run to the Summon pool to start pulling new units.

When is the next Anime Defenders update?
With leaks about a June 30 release of the Anime Defenders 3.0 update proving true, we’re expecting the next Anime Defenders update, UPD 4, to land on Sunday, July 14 at around 4:30pm BST. That would align with the game’s 14-day update cadence.
Right now, we know that Anime Defenders 4.0 will include a “massive buff” to ability damage. Developer Forbrad explained on July 4 that there “was some miss configurations” and that they “can not adjust them until the next update.”
Is there an Anime Defenders Trello link?
In a surprising move, there’s no Anime Defenders Trello link to put here. Despite being one of the biggest and most complex Roblox TD games to release this year, there’s no public Trello. Fans keep talking about making one, but this is unlikely to happen until there’ a unified approach.
What are the Anime Defenders Hybrid units?
The following Hybrid units were added in Anime Defenders 2.0:
- Cursed Nail
- Dragon Slayer
- Electric Cyborg
- Curse Prince
- Curse King
- Flame Dragon King
- Flame Dragon God
- Esper
- Unstable Esper
- Bear King
- Bear King (Unlocked)
- Donut Warrior
- Donut Master
- The Rift Sorcerer (Awakened)
- The Rift Sorcerer
Hybrid units count as both ground and hill units: you place them on the ground but, unlike standard ground units, they’re able to attack air units as well.
