Sanika Dange

Anchor/Reporter

Award winning anchor/reporter Sanika Dange joined WESH 2 News in January of 2018. Before returning to her hometown of Orlando, Sanika was an anchor/reporter at sister station WPBF 25 News in West Palm Beach, FL, where she closely covered President Donald Trump’s campaign, and field anchored from Mar a Lago during his visits to the Winter White House. During her two years in South Florida, Sanika also covered breaking news. She spent 36 hours on the ground during the Pulse nightclub massacre; covered the death of Former Prime Minister Fidel Castro from Little Havana; led live team coverage during the Fort Lauderdale Airport shooting; tracked the wobble of Hurricane Matthew; anchored wall-to-wall coverage during Hurricane Irma; and traveled to the Keys to assess the devastation left behind by the eye of the storm. Sanika graduated from Lake Highland Preparatory School in downtown Orlando. She is also a proud University of Florida graduate! Outside the newsroom, Sanika is trying to catch up with how rapidly her hometown has grown since she’s lived here last! Her first love is food, followed closely by her two dogs, Bane and Obi Wan Kenobi. (Yes, she’s a bit of a nerd as well.) If you’d like to say hi or have a story to share, you can email her at sdange@hearst.com.
