Rain and Thunderstorm Chances through Thursday
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - While some of us did see some showers and a few storms today, we are in for another day of a similar pattern for our Thursday.
Lets start with the forecast heading into tonight, showers will taper off with some tapering after midnight, mainly around the Casper area. Low temperatures into tonight will be into the
Heading into Thursday, much of eastern Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle have been placed in a Marginal Risk for some severe thunderstorms. Showers and storms will develop ahead of a cold front. A few of these storms could be on the strong to severe side. The main concern will be gusty winds, some hail and an isolated tornado. I feel the best severe concern will be into the Nebraska Panhandle.
High temperatures for Thursday will reach the 50s to the 70s around the region. We do start with some sun and clouds before those showers and thunderstorms begin to develop during the afternoon hours.
Extended Forecast for Cheyenne - Showers and storms will be a concern through Thursday. An isolated severe storm or two is not out of the question. We get a brief rain break before more rain chances return into Saturday, which could be locally heavy at times.
Extended Forecast for Casper - Showers and storms will be possible on Thursday. Rain chances linger through Sunday. By next week we start to see a warming trend in our temperatures.
