Ashley anchors the weekend weather and is an MMJ. She is from Columbus, OH and studied Geoscience with a focus on Broadcast and Operational Meteorology at Mississippi State University. In her down time, Ashley enjoys traveling, visiting various national and state parks, and monitoring the weather for her home state of Ohio.
Ashley has always been interested in weather for as long as she can remember. All weather types interest her, whether it's winter storms, severe thunderstorms, or even high wind events. The biggest weather memory for her involves going to her grandma's house in Northern Ohio and being scared of the sky because it was tinted green. She had to take cover in her grandma's hallway as there was a tornado down the street and she remembers how scary it was that a tornado was so close.

While some of us have seen storms this afternoon, others have been mainly dry. Some changes for the 4th of July.

The Zion Evangelical Church and the Rock Church will be opening up as a shelter for residents in Gering after the recent blizzard that came through last night.
Winds are still very strong over parts of southeast Wyoming. Luckily, these winds will decrease with time this evening and into tonight.

While we have enjoyed these last couple of days of Spring weather, winter has decided to make a return for the weekend.
We have had a beautiful day across Wyoming and Nebraska. It looks like this pleasant weather will linger just a bit longer.
We will continue to see some precipitation for our last day of March, but luckily it looks like the start of April will be relatively pleasant.
While we have enjoyed some quiet weather over the last several days, that is about to change. We are in for a series of weather system that will bring a chance of rain, snow, and even some thunderstorms.
Although a few light rain showers moved through parts of Wyoming and Nebraska today, we had a chance to see some sun and clouds. We will see that continue into Thursday.
Winter has made its way back into our weather for the last several. However, it looks like we start to see Spring make a comeback.
While we have enjoyed the very pleasant spring-like weather, we will transition to more of a winter pattern, but only briefly.
We are going to have one more spring like day across the area, before winter makes a brief comeback into out weather.
Another beautiful day in the books for the area. Unfortetely, we will see increased fire danger concerns through our Thursday.
