- مكتبة الأخ خوسيه أوتاو المركزية (بالبرتغالية: Biblioteca Central Irmão José Otão) هي المكتبة الرئيسية لـ الجامعة البابوية الكاثوليكية في ريو غراندي دو سول، وتقع في بورتو أليغري البرازيل. يعود أصل المكتبة المركزية إلى المجموعة الموجودة بجوار مدرسة روساربو في عام 1940، والتي تخدم كليات الاقتصاد والفلسفة والعمل الاجتماعي والقانون. في عام 1967 ، مع التغيير إلى حرم الجامعة البابوية الحالي، انتقل إلى الطابق الثاني من بيت القسيس. في عام 1977 انتقل إلى المبنى الحالي، حيث احتل مساحة إجمالية قدرها 10.000 متر مربع. تم توسيع المساحة المادية للمكتبة المركزية إلى مساحة 21.000 متر مربع من خلال دمج برج من 14 طابقًا بالهيكل القديم. كان البحث الأكاديمي وإنتاج المعرفة زيادات كبيرة في المساحات المجهزة بأجهزة كمبيوتر صغيرة. بهذا المعنى يتم توفير طاولات بها 836 مقعدًا و30 فصلاً دراسيًا وغرفة دراسة وطوابق خارجية مخصصة للدراسة الجماعية أو الفردية حصريًا. تخدم المكتبة المركزية المجتمع الجامعي في مجالات التعليم والبحث والإرشاد، وتغطي جميع مجالات المعرفة وتساهم في تقديم خدماتها الفنية والعلمية والشخصية، كما تقدم بعض خدماتها للمجتمع الأوسع. - The Central Library Brother José Otão (Portuguese: Biblioteca Central Irmão José Otão) is the main library of Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), located in Porto Alegre, Brazil. The Central Library had its origin in the collection located next to Rosário School in 1940, serving the Faculties of Economics, Philosophy, Social work and Law. In 1967, with the change to the current PUCRS Campus, it moved to the second floor of the rectory. In 1977, it moved to the current building, occupying a total area of 10,000 square meters. The physical space of the Central Library was expanded to an area of 21,000 square meters, through the integration of a tower of 14 floors the old structure. Academic research and knowledge production were significant increases of spaces equipped with microcomputers. In this sense, provides tables with 836 seats, 30 classrooms, a study room and outside decks provided exclusively for group study or individual. The Central Library serves the university community in the areas of education, research and extension, covering all areas of knowledge and contributing to their technical, scientific and personal, and some of their services offered also to the wider community. Localizada no prédio 16 do Campus Central da Universidade, no bairro Partenon, em Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, a Biblioteca atende à comunidade universitária nos setores de ensino, pesquisa e extensão. O acervo é composto por materiais de múltiplas áreas do conhecimento, disponíveis para pesquisa através da ferramenta de busca OMNIS. Os serviços e os recursos oferecidos encontram-se detalhados no website da Biblioteca. Possui representante na Comissão de Documentação da Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas (ABNT). (pt)
