Hello, I'm ToBeFree. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Krishnarjuna Yudham, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 13:26, 2 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Gangstars Navdeep Poster.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Gangstars Navdeep Poster.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. AussieLegend () 09:22, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:05, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Gangstars teaser poster.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. AussieLegend () 17:50, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Amit Tiwari

[edit]

Hello Vraxxthelord,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Amit Tiwari for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Aadarsh Balakrishna, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Telugu (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:28, 25 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Samrat Reddy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.newsbugz.com/samrat-reddy-wiki-biography-age-images/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. reddogsix (talk) 00:18, 13 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Samrat Reddy has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable actor lacking in-depth, non-trivial support. A number of articles have been published about his wife abuse, but lacks support for WP:BIO or WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. reddogsix (talk) 02:11, 14 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2018 election voter message

[edit]

Hello, Vraxxthelord. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Gangstars Teaser Poster.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Gangstars Teaser Poster.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. AussieLegend () 19:09, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Gangstars Teaser Poster.jpg. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. AussieLegend () 19:12, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

File:Gangstars Teaser Poster.jpg

[edit]

As Whpq has stated immediately above, just because something is publicly displayed, does not make it public domain. Despite your assertion that File:Gangstars Teaser Poster.jpg has been released under a free license, this is not the case. The copyright notice at the source for this image clearly says "Copyright © 2017, The Munsif Daily – All rights reserved." This means the file is non-free and therefore cannot be used at Wikipedia until the criteria for using non-free content are satisfied. It therefore cannot be added to articles as you did in this edit only 20 minutes after it was removed from the article. Please do not restore the file again. --AussieLegend () 05:08, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Silly Fellows (film)

[edit]

Hello, Vraxxthelord. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Silly Fellows".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 22:21, 14 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, when you write "the film stars ___" you don't have to then write "in lead roles". "Stars" typically means the people who are in the lead roles. Further, the subordinate actors in a film are typically described as "in supporting roles" not "in crucial roles". "Crucial" and "important" and "pivotal", tends to imply a judgment being made on our part as to how important the cast member is. That doesn't seem neutral to me. Puffery and unsourced content

[edit]

Hi there, re: these changes, you need to be more precise in your language, since stating that he has appeared on the Forbes India Celebrity 100 list since 2015, makes it seem like he placed in the top 100 every year, which is not supported by a quick review of the intermediate years. Additionally, your claim that he received international acclaim was not sourced, so that makes it seem like you pulled that fact out of your head. Same with the claim that Saaho peformed well in specific ethnolinguistic box offices. We are supposed to be writing a neutral encyclopedia, not a fan website, so puffing Prabhas up with ambiguously-phrased claims and other unsupported, grandiose language, is not entirely helpful. Thank you, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:54, 5 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

And this, where you say Saaho "was one of the highest-grossing films of the year" seems to not take into account the rest of the world, where there were many, many higher-grossing films. You obviously meant highest-grossing Indian film. Please be precise, because the imprecision can artificially inflate the importance of the subject. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 00:32, 6 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
These changes are disruptive, as you seem to be deliberately adding back vague phrasing about his appearance on the Forbes list, as well as an unsourced claim about "international acclaim". Same with these changes where you do the same thing, except you added this reference which doesn't support the "international acclaim" puffery. If you add this nonsense back, your editing privileges will be interrupted, since it's starting to seem like you're here to deliberately promote Prabhas. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Venkatesh (actor), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Telugu. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Rami Malek. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. FMSky (talk) 12:17, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring, as you did at Rami Malek. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text at the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Aoidh (talk) 13:50, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Vraxxthelord! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Information icon Hello. In a recent edit to the page Saaho, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the first author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 11:03, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Glen Powell shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
