If your energy supplier has ceased trading, we’ll provide an update on your case as soon as Ofgem nominate a 'Supplier of Last Resort' to take over as your new supplier. Until that time we appreciate your patience and recommend you take a meter reading.

Become a member and join a scheme

Joining Ombudsman Services is easy - all we need from you is a completed application form, a signed Deed Poll and payment of any appropriate fees. The application form below gathers all the information we need to get you set-up on our systems.

What happens once I've submitted the form?

1

Complete a Simple Deed Poll

A Deed Poll is your agreement to work with our scheme and is a promise to carry out the resolutions detailed in our final decisions. We need two signatures for a Deed Poll to be completed

2

Pay any fees

Once you've paid any appropriate fees, you'll be one step closer to accessing our membership services and products.

3

Receive your welcome and onboarding pack

It will take around 3 to 5 working days for your application to be processed, assuming the timely provision of documents and payments. The welcome and onboarding pack highlights everything you need to know about membership

4

Access training material and other useful assets

Once fully processed, you can access loads of supporting materials. And if you sign up to our regular newsletter, we'll keep you informed about improvements, events, legislation changes, products and training updates. Look out for your membership certificate which you may be required to share with the regulator
