little and often
RAPID CITY, S.D. - The public is invited to a discussion on this year’s One Book South Dakota selection, “Little and Often,” featuring special guests Black Hills Center for Equality, South Dakota Humanities Council Scholar Molly Barari, and author Trent Preszler. The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 30 in the Community Room of the Rapid City Public Library.

This memoir chronicles Preszler, a South Dakota native residing in New York, as he reflects on his estranged father's passing by constructing a canoe using his father's tools. This process leads him to a deeper understanding of his father – a cattle rancher, rodeo champion, and Vietnam War Bronze Star Medal recipient – and of himself.
