WEATHER WITH FIRST WARNING. METEOROLOGIST MARQUIS DE MARQUIS, WE HAVE A LOT GOING ON OUT THERE. VERY HOT, HUMID AND RAIN. LIGHTNING ON THE RADAR, NOT THE BEST. NO, NOT THE BEST. BUT CERTAINLY NOT THE WORST. RIGHT. WE HAVEN’T HAD ANY SEVERE WEATHER QUITE YET. I’M GOING TO KNOCK ON THIS GLASS TABLE HERE, JUST NOT WOOD, BUT IT’S GLASS. IT’LL DO FOR NOW. YES. AND THE WEATHER. IT’S ACTUALLY COOLING IN COMPARISON TO WHERE WE WERE JUST JUST A FEW HOURS AGO. TAKE A LOOK. WE HAVE A LOT. OF 90S ON YOUR SCREEN. THOSE ARE THE HIGHS FROM TODAY. AS WE WERE BACK IN THE UPPER 80S COAST SIDE AND LOWER 90S INLAND. BUT WE’VE COOLED SIGNIFICANTLY SINCE THEN, ESPECIALLY IN AREAS WHERE YOU SEE THESE SHOWERS. RIGHT. THIS IS OUR TOWER CAM, SITUATED OVER WINTER PARK OVERLOOKING ORLANDO, WHERE THE VISIBILITY HAS NOW FALLEN DOWN TO ONE STATUTE MILE AND TEMPERATURES HAVE DROPPED FROM THE HIGH OF 92 TO 74. SO THAT’S AN 18 DEGREE DIFFERENCE IN JUST A FEW SHORT HOURS. AND THAT’S THE POWER OF THE THUNDERSTORMS THAT HAVE COME BARRELING IN. YOU HAVE A SMALL BREEZE COMING IN FROM THE SOUTH AND THE EAST AT NINE MILES PER HOUR, BUT IT’S THAT BREEZE THAT HAS FUELED US WITH THAT ATLANTIC COAST MOISTURE AND ALSO WHERE YOU SEE THE RAIN, YOU SEE MUCH LESS VISIBILITY. 2.5 STATUTE MILES IN LEESBURG, ACTUALLY THREE NOW IN ORLANDO. SO THE VISIBILITY HAS COME UP IN THE LAST 15 MINUTES, BUT TEMPERATURES, WILL THOSE CONTINUE TO DROP BACK? 74 IN ORLANDO, 74 IN BITHLO, 75 IN KISSIMMEE, UPPER 70S FOR OCALA AND LEESBURG WHERE WE HAVE SOME RAIN MOVING THROUGHOUT YOUR NECK OF THE. WOODS. AND HERE’S A PEEK AT FUTURECAST AND THAT’LL BRING THE SHOWERS OVER THE VILLAGES AND INTO LEESBURG AT 7:00. ORLANDO, BITHLO YOU’LL SEE THOSE SHOWERS PUSHING TOWARDS YOUR SOUTH AS WE MOVE FURTHER IN TIME. THROUGHOUT THE EVENING. AND THEN BY MIDNIGHT, WELL, WE’RE TRENDING JUST MOSTLY CLOUDY IN THE SIDE OF THE METRO. TOMORROW, THOUGH, WE’LL KICK OFF THE DAY WITH SUNSHINE. WE’LL TRY OUR BEST TO STRETCH THAT SUNSHINE INTO THE AFTERNOON BEFORE ANOTHER ROUND OF RAIN DOES RETURN. SO HERE’S A LOOK AT YOUR LIVE RADAR. LOTS OF LIGHTNING STRIKES ACROSS SALT SPRINGS INTO THE VILLAGES AND. LEESBURG. THESE CONTINUE TO PULL TOWARDS THE SOUTH ACROSS. 528 LAKE CAR MEADOW WOODS. YOU GUYS ARE SHOWING THOSE SHOWERS PUSHED TOWARDS THE SOUTH AND THE EAST. AND AS WE WIDEN OUT, TAKE A LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE. WE STILL HAVE SOME LIGHTER RAIN MOVING THROUGH KISSIMMEE AND KEENAN’S VILLE. STILL CURRENTLY HERE AT 618. WE’LL JUMP OUT TOWARDS THE TROPICS RIGHT NOW WHERE WE’RE TRACKING THREE SYSTEMS. FIRST, ON OUR LIST IS INVEST 94, WHICH SHOWS A 50% CHANCE FOR FURTHER DEVELOPMENT. RIGHT NOW, THAT CENTER OF ROTATION IS OVER CENTRAL AMERICA. BUT AS IT REENTERS THE GULF, WE COULD POSSIBLY SEE THIS DEVELOP INTO OUR NEXT TROPICAL STORM, HURRICANE BERYL. JUST GOT ITS NAME YESTERDAY. NOW IT’S A CATEGORY ONE HURRICANE, AND THE LAST SYSTEM THAT WE HAVE ON OUR LIST IS JUST A CLUSTER OF STORMS IN THE EASTERN ATLANTIC THAT WE’LL KEEP AN EYE ON OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS. NOW, HERE’S A LOOK AT BERYL’S TRACK. OF COURSE, OVER THE NEXT WEEK, WE COULD SEE A LOT OF CHANGES BUT IT COULD BE OUR FIRST MAJOR HURRICANE OF THIS 2024 SEASON, AS IT MOVES OUT TOWARDS THE CARIBBEAN AND THEN PUSHES TOWARDS THE WEST BY THURSDAY. YOU SEE HOW MUCH WIDER THAT CONE OF. UNCERTAINTY IS GOING TO BE. SO OF COURSE WE HAVE SOME DEVIATION, BUT STILL, THIS COULD BE OUR NEXT MAJOR HURRICANE. IT WILL KEEP YOU UP TO DATE ON WESH TWO. IF THERE ARE ANY CHANGES WITH THAT PATH. TOMORROW’S ATTRACTIONS FORECAST WILL CALL FOR CLOUDS TO BUILD EARLY IN THE MORNING. SHOWERS COULD START TO BUBBLE UP BY 12, AND THEN WE SEE THE CHANCE FOR SOME STRONGER STORMS BY 5:00. TEMPERATURES TOMORROW WILL BE BACK IN THE UPPER 80S AND THE LOWER 90S AS WE’RE HOT AND HUMID ONCE AGAIN. AND THAT AFTERNOON RAIN CHANCE IS GOING TO BE GREATEST RIGHT AROUND 5:00, JUST BEFORE WE TRANSITION INTO THE EVENING. SO AS WE MENTIONED, WE START OFF SUNNY STORMS BUBBLE UP BY FOUR AND FIVE HERE INSIDE THE METRO. AND THEN IN SIMILAR FASHION TO TODAY, WILL QUIET DOWN JUST AFTER SUNSET. CHANCES FOR RAIN WILL BE GREATEST OVER THE NEXT WEEK. CLOSER TO I 75 WHERE WE COULD SEE POCKETS OF PRECIPITATION 2 TO 3IN, BUT EVERY DAY ON YOUR SEVEN DAY FORECAST DOES HAVE THAT RAIN CHANCE, AND THAT SHOULD RANGE ANYWHERE. BETWEEN 40 AND 60% OVER THE NEXT WEEK. STAY WITH US THOUGH. WE

Showery Weekend Continues Tomorrow. Meanwhile Hurricane Beryl IntensifiesAnother day of thunderous activity here in Central Florida. Numerous showers and storms will develop this afternoon and into the early evening with sea breeze collisions taking place west of I-95. Stronger storms will once again be possible with the greatest threats being frequent lightning strikes, strong gusty winds and locally heavy rainfall. With the stillness of these overhead showers and persistence over one given area at a time excessive rainfall could potentially also lead to minor flooding of roadways and poor drainage areas. Temps today should return to the nineties before rain showers, keep in mind to stay hydrated this afternoon as feel like conditions will cross over the triple digits. We’ll cool into the mid seventies overnight, but stormy and warm weather are set to return again tomorrow as we close off the weekend.
