Oh, what a night. Our first annual Leaders Health Summit with HBS Club of Toronto brought together 75+ senior leaders and a distinguished panel of physicians, business advisors, and industry leaders to discuss why health is essential to business performance. Dr. Talia Varley kicked off the evening with a powerful keynote that shared the latest research on why health is your company’s most significant strategic advantage and should be managed with the same rigour as your P&L. This was followed by a lively and engaging panel discussion moderated by C. Mark Angelo and included Dr. Seema Parmar, Dr. Shaan Chugh, Jennifer Sygo, Tennyson Devoe of Purolator Inc., and Janet Bannister of Staircase Ventures. They shared personal stories and actionable strategies to empower leaders in optimizing both their personal health and that of their organization. Health is your company’s biggest strategic advantage. Don’t wait for a crisis to give it the attention it deserves. Preparing now will help mitigate your company’s risk and position you to navigate challenges with resilience and clarity. There are many reasons to work with Cleveland Clinic Canada. Now there is one more. We are pleased to announce our new Virtual Nurse Practitioner Mentorship Program. This program aims to provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities for new employees who are newly graduated nurse practitioners (NPs) or those with one to two years of clinical experience post-graduation. This program is designed to support your employment with us to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical experience, offering mentorship from expert NPs in a virtual setting, like our Express Care Online service. Focusing on key themes and tasks, the program seeks to empower NPs to increase their confidence and competence and strengthen them as compassionate virtual care providers. Program Goals: Clinical Skills Development: Mentees will have the opportunity to learn from experienced NPs who will be available to guide assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of virtual conditions. Professional Growth, Development, and Leadership: Mentees will receive guidance on networking and navigating the health care system(s) throughout Canada. They will also receive ongoing education regarding virtual care and strengthen the necessary skills to become effective leaders in their field.

Musculoskeletal conditions such as back pain, arthritis and muscle sprains, are the most common issues affecting workers and can have a significant impact on the workplace. They can lead to absenteeism and lower productivity, as workers may need to take time off to recover from injuries or manage their symptoms. Additionally, musculoskeletal conditions can reduce morale if workers become frustrated or discouraged by their symptoms and limitations. In some instances, musculoskeletal conditions can even cause people to leave the workforce, or retire earlier than planned, due to chronic pain or discomfort. That’s where we can help. As one of Canada’s largest sports medicine clinics, we know hard it can be to get timely access to care to prevent or treat these conditions, so we have created a one-stop shop for recovery and performance. Our expert team of sports medicine physicians, orthopaedic surgeons, movement specialists, and sports rehab therapists help patients of all ages and abilities move better at our downtown and midtown Toronto clinics. Our clinics are open to the public and accept new appointments which are often covered by OHIP or health benefits. Book your appointment today and experience the difference for yourself.
