HL is absolutely the Best investment…

HL is absolutely the Best investment platform available! and I figure I should know as I've tried all the others since starting my self investing journey back in 2015 and HL is STREETS AHEAD of its Competitors in ALL respects! Yes, there are are cheaper Platforms but the age-old adage of "You get what you pay for" is as true today as its always been! For just that little bit more, you get to be stress free with HL as your chosen platform!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

HL app

The HL app is very easy to use and makes share dealing easier than some of the others.
Being critical id like to see their dealing costs come down just a little.
And using the app, its not obvious how to quickly cancel a trading instruction if you change your mind. Other than that i like it and will continue using it

A reliable and solid firm

A reliable and solid firm. In terms of trust, communication, and integrity, the firm is super. Even though safety shouldn’t be underestimated, I can safely say, so far so good, the ship is steady. With a portfolio management of £120billion pound in asset and over 1.7million customer, it tells the story. The mobile app would need to be improved with modern day data management user interface to include fluidity of graphs, easy check fundamental and financial data of a company, easy access to HL's wealth funds and quick access to useful blogs and comments, etc. I think an intelligent dedication to this is required to add the needed extra touch up.

I did get confusing advice initially…

I did get confusing advice initially from various quarters but I was eventually very fortunate to get through to Elena. She listened carefully to my story and there and then guided me through the process of selling my shares, this without having to complete yet another form. She was excellent.

HL SIPP and ISA management. 5*

My wife and I have been using HL for our smaller pensions and Stocks and Share ISA’s for many years, and we think the offerings and services are first rate across the board. Staff are pleasant, knowledgable and efficient. 5*

Hargreaves Lansdowne provide tips and information about why share prices may rise and fall. This is helpful as I am not an expert in this area. My only issue is that there fees are quite high

Setting up a cash account on HL

Setting up a cash account was relatively easy and the email feedback on its progress was good. The HL personal accounts websites are perhaps overly complicated and it's difficult at times to navigate to where one wants to be.

HL are completely incapable of…

HL are completely incapable of calculating the value of your holdings. Selling part of your holding in any one company followed by buying more of the same share at a different price results in a holding value that is frequently inaccurate. It’s like their computer programmers failed Maths GCSE. Wouldn’t recommend.

Money Matters

When my husband died 6 years ago, he was the one who managed our money. Now he has gone i leave it in the capable hands of Hargreaves Lansdown. They manage my money every month, to which i am truly grateful.

Appalling systems and service

Hargreaves has appalling systems and very poor customer service. Their valuation statements are wrong. Their tax certificates are wrong. Their asset search doesn’t work and they have almost no research. Their “customer service” team don’t understand basic financial terminology. A deeply disappointing platform all round.

Lump sum Payment Delayed.

On 25th June on behalf of my wife I submitted an application form to withdraw 25% of her pension as a lump sum. I received an email from HL staing it would take 5 to 10 working days o issue payment. Heard nothing further so contacted HL on 14 July to be told by email they cannot stick to the deadline promised due to a large number of applications. I would take at least 15 days to issue payment. What a lame excuse. They do not keep you advised of progress or more appropriately lack of progress you have to chase them. Seriously thinking of leaving HL
