Flickrwashing. Flickr account belongs to O'Toole and is a collection of photos of him. A number of them are credited to Deb Ransom eg File:2021-08-21 Erin O'Toole.jpg while File:Erin O'Toole (50970661652).jpg is credited to Mark Weir. A mix of cameras and a lot with no exif. PCP - this account cannot be trusted

Deb Ransom is (or rather was) the Official Photographer at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition from Apr 2021 - Jun 2022.
I emailed her on Aug 9, 2021 about the Flickr account and asked about the photos posted there and "If this is a copyright violation, then please let me know and I will follow up on how to remove the wrong license on these photos" but did not get a response. // sikander { talk } 🦖 14:19, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sent an email https://www.weirmedia.ca/ asking about the photos and cc'd VRT team. // sikander { talk } 🦖 14:32, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Mark Weir from https://www.weirmedia.ca/ replied "It’s my photo but it’s fine to be there." VRT team is CC'd in the email. // sikander { talk } 🦖 14:53, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Keep I wouldn't assume the account is run by or belongs to O'Toole himself. I note that Andrew Scheer has a similar account for his time as leader https://www.flickr.com/photos/andrewscheer as does Stephen Harper (although his photostream is copyrighted). These accounts are likely run by the Conservative Party PR team, who would have release rights over their own official pictures, rather than the accounts being run by the leaders themselves.  Keep These photos were released by his campaign. It appears that Deb Ransom and Mark Weir were official photographers for Erin O'Toole. It is very common for politicians to have a team run their account, who would have had the capacity to release the rights in this manner. Also, it does not automatically invalidate the CC license because the name of an account is of the politician they are promoting. PascalHD (talk) 02:05, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
