Hello,

I'm new to all of this Wikipedia/Wikimedia editing stuff, so please forgive that I'm still trying to learn my way. I added three images to Wikimedia Commons a few days ago -- all of which I own the copyright to and took with my own camera/phone. I then added those to three pages on Wikipedia to which they were all relevant. They were subsequently nominated for deletion by a user who doubted that I own the copyright. But I do! How do I get those nominations for deletion removed, and what can/should I do to future uploads to indicate that I do in fact own the copyright in order to avoid these problems going forward?

Hello admins,

Reguyla is using my talk page to harass me over the fact that he is blocked by Meta (by four different admins on different occasions now, I am just the unlucky current holder of the block). I don't want to need to take global action to prevent him from contributing at all anywhere, so would you please direct him to not make such comments on my talk page? I don't think he should be blocked, as he contributes positively here, but if you could maybe sysop-protect the talk page or just make it very clear that using Commons to evade his Meta block isn't acceptable?

Unfortunately that category was recently spammed with edit requests for file cleanups. Unless someone wants to actually repair all those, I think the best course of action would be to just remove those requests, so actually important requests don't get drowned. Aside from what Sebari writes – @Jdx and Zhuyifei1999: Maybe the impression is wrong, but to me it seems you both are the only (active) admins with insight in Javascript, and a sizable part of these edit requests are related to Javascript Gadgets (do not forget the subcat). — Speravir – 19:21, 4 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Please fulfil these edit requests. I'm a translator on translatewiki, translation admin here and on meta-wiki and a sysop on ukwiki, i.e. you generally don't have to check if everything is correct, just copy and paste. You may leave the edit request templates active, if you wish: I'll check the implemented translations once more and will put those templates into {{Tl}} on my own.

I've also done some gadget translations, and will do some gadget descriptions' translations, but those can wait. I just want these to be implemented asap, just to remove the relevant message groups from Special:LanguageStats.--Piramidion (talk) 16:26, 4 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

So, currently there are 226 files that are Candidates for speedy deletion. I'm pretty sure these haven't been taken care of for at least two days (since File:EMMA STONE and RYAN GOSLING Oscars - La la Land.jpg has been in there for the past two days). Pour corriger des erreurs, à la suite du renommage du fichier File:Nathan Beaulieu WJC12 press conference.jpg en File:Ryan Murray WJC12 press conference.jpg, il faudrait supprimer la redirection pour pouvoir corriger le nom du fichier File:Jonathan Huberdeau WJC12 press conference.jpg (qui représente en fait Nathan Beaulieu), puis en faire de même avec ce dernier pour renommer le fichier File:Quinton Howden WJC12 press conference.jpg (qui représente Jonathan Huberdeau).

En résumé, il faudrait faire:

• File:Jonathan Huberdeau WJC12 press conference.jpg => File:Nathan Beaulieu WJC12 press conference.jpg
• File:Quinton Howden WJC12 press conference.jpg => File:Jonathan Huberdeau WJC12 press conference.jpg
