Hi Furmeyer. I don't know if you speak English, but I have to regretfully inform you that I have put almost all of your images up for deletion. You can find the conversation here. The reason is that some are blatantly incorrectly tagged (e.g., a picture from 1930's Spain tagged as being taken by you), and others, such as the seals, do not have proper information to establish a copyright. I thank you for your time in helping out with the deletion conversation.

Hi Patstuart. I don't speak very well English, but this images come from my family. Antonin Lecouteux was the father of uncle's wife and there is no problem of copywright. I'm the last member of this family (with my son, but he is very young !). Antonin Lecouteux taked this images in Barcelone, and they are not official. If you don't understand me, I can't take a dictionary o escribir en español, no hay problemas de copywrigt, las imágenes vienen del padre de mi tía y no hay problemas para mi cara tía. Su padre les tomaba en Barcelona en 1936.

Bonjour, J'aime beaucoup les animaux, moi-aussi, mais je ne t'écris pas pour cela. Je dessine parfois des blasons et j'en ai mis en place sur WP. Assez bizarrement trois d'entre eux concernant uniquement ma famille viennent d'être supprimés de commons et de mes articles.

Un blason comme celui-ci est le produit de mon travail à 100 % et la description de ce blason est donnée par une trentaine de références. J'ai un logiciel et je dessine le reste à la main.

Je ne savais pas à qui écrire, car je n'ai été prévenu de rien, comme cela se fait sur WP. Cela ne m'est pas bien difficile de charger une image, mais de les remettre dans tous les articles risque d'être long.

J'ai supprimé ces images il y a quelques heures sans lancer de procédure de suppression, car il me semblait que ces blasons soient une violation de copyright (rien de personnel, c'est juste qu'un texte sur l'image apparaît et cela ressemblait à un scan non autorisé). Je vois que tu as réenvoyé File:Blason d'Allonville médiéval.jpg, j'ai pour ma part restauré File:Blason mottet de ribécourt 2.jpg et File:Blason rambaud de furmeyer.JPG par la même occasion ; pourrais-tu aller sur Commons:Bistro#File:Blason_d.27Allonville_m.C3.A9di.C3.A9val.jpg pour donner plus d'informations ? Il y a un problème avec cette image, quand on examine de près le haut à gauche, on voit les traces d'un texte, comme s'il s'agissait d'un blason scanné, puis retravaille. Donc, il faut que tu précise le statut de cette image, car c'est son imprecision qui lui a valu sa suppression : - soit le livre est dans le domaine public, et dans ce cas, il faut mentionner les références du livre et mettre une license domaine public. - soit tu es l'auteur du livre, et dans ce cas, il faut suivre la procédure de republication pour l'image que tu uploades.

Si l'image n'est dans aucun de ces deux cas, elle risque d'être à nouveau supprimé. Cordialement Odejea (♫♪) 08:07, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

Merci pour ta question, preuve de responsabilité et d'intérêt pour tes contributions :) . Je ne sais pas de quand date cette image, mais elle semble trop récente pour être tombée dans le domaine public (en règle générale 70 ans après la mort de l'auteur), elle est donc encore sous copyright. Pour les travaux sous copyright, il faut faire très attention à la page de l'image sur Flickr, section « Informations supplémentaires » dans la colonne de droite. « Tous droits réservés » signifie que tu ne peux rien faire avec l'image, à part dans le cadre de la copie privée dans le cercle familial. Seules les licences BY ou BY-SA (en gros, dès que ce sceau apparaît sur la page de licence) peuvent amener à l'upload de l'image sur Commons : je te conseille la lecture de la page Commons:Images de Flickr pour plus d'informations !

PS : À titre d'exemple et pour comparer deux de mes photos :

• Ces timbres ne peuvent pas être envoyés car ils ont été conçus par La Poste, qui n'a pas donné son accord ; en conséquence j'ai mis l'image en « tous droits réservés », et cela est incompatible avec Commons.
• La photo de cette personne n'a pas de restrictions connues, et je suis l'auteur de la photo. La licence (clique dessus, si tu vois le sceau c'est bon) permet un envoi sur Commons.

Je te remercie beaucoup d'avoir détruit cette image et surtout d'avoir pris le temps de m'expliquer. Cette histoire d'importation d'images venant de Flick et contraire à la législation française, n'était pas claire. Je fais très attention aux histoires de droit car mon éditeur qui imprime des milliers de photos a eu deux ou trois problèmes et m'a déconseillé d'utiliser n'importe quoi. Au niveau des droits, c'est un vrai problème même en famille. Heureusement cette attitude est limité à un cousin et à une cousine.

J'ai trouvé une photo de la prise Smala d'abd el kader sur un livre qui a plus de 70 ans, mais aujourd'hui j'ai un autre problème je dois écrire à un musée pour lui demander l'autorisation de mettre sur wikipedia deux clichés qu'ils m'ont envoyé en tant que parent il y a deux ans. A l'époque ils m'interdisaient une exploitation commerciale, mais wp est sans pubs. Donc en complétant et rectifiant les informations de la base Joconde, je peux espérer une acceptation de ma demande. C'est en général l'attitude des musées. Bon dimanche et merci encore. Guy

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Hi, i think you've wrongly attributed this image to Ilya Repin. i strongly believe you've made a mistake as 1) Repin did not paint anything political about Russia after the October Revolution 2) his style of social Realism is entirely different from that of this painting, something you can clearly see by comparing it to his other works. i'd be grateful if you could remove or correct this file. thank you! if necessary find me in Wikipedia, User:Franz.87

C'est du TI et nul, comme tout le reste du travail de Furmeyer sur Wikipédia, dixit les administrateurs. Désormais j'écris sur Larousse et depuis des mois je transfère mon travail sur cette encyclopédie, donc tout vandalisme style Purplehz et sa bande me permet de le transférer. Je n'ai plus envie de collaborer, car seule Perky et Kazerty m'ontdéfendu jusqu'au bout. Bon courage. Guy.
