We are excited to share our successful partnership with POLI.design 🎓✨. From May 6th to 23rd, 35 POLI.design students conducted a strategic and cross-cultural business analysis of our company, resulting in valuable outcomes. During the first workshop in early May, our Managing Director, Christof Babinsky, concluded his presentation with this question for the students: "How can ASB GlassFloor technology address today’s challenges to enhance quality of life?" In response, the students explored the potential business and societal benefits of ASB GlassFloor, reimagining its use beyond professional sports. After two and a half weeks, the seven teams presented groundbreaking concepts during a second workshop. These included interactive gaming experiences with dynamic brand promotion through mobile apps, enhancing business innovation by fostering design thinking, and creatively utilizing our flooring in airports and malls to bring people together, among other ideas. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the POLI.design team, Christian Schneider (MAIZE — Designing Futurabilities), and the students for their boundless creativity and dedication. Reflecting on the collaboration, Christof Babinsky said, "The achievements of POLI.design students have been truly remarkable. Their innovative ideas have greatly contributed to our vision. Two weeks ago, we served as the main partner and jury for the 2nd Sports-Tech Hackathon hosted by the Munich Student Athletes Club e.V. at TUM. The creativity and dedication we witnessed from the teams were nothing short of inspiring. Their challenge was to design an interactive halftime show for a basketball event, focusing on entertainment and fan engagement, while also seamlessly integrating sponsorship opportunities. Over 24 hours, the students worked tirelessly, showcasing their ingenuity despite limited sleep and their first-time experience with our ASB GlassFloor. The results were impressive, with each team bringing unique perspectives to the task: Team "Launarey" proposed a comprehensive package including various mini-games and an app for audience participation. Their standout ideas included an interactive "The Floor is Lava", a basketball-themed memory game, a seamless integration of Kahoot, and “Become an NBA player” all aimed at boosting audience engagement. Team "BasketBrawl" offered a charming pixel-graphic interactive card game. Players needed to score a basket before playing a card to reduce their opponent’s life points. Their approach to integrating sponsors within the cards was both natural and innovative. Team "Pong" aimed to play Pong on our floor, creating a tracking system using their smartphones. Their interactive gameplay was a hit, sparking competitive spirit among the judges. Choosing a winner was challenging, but ultimately, Team Launarey claimed victory for their well-rounded concept. All teams, however, impressed us with their creativity and hard work. ASB GlassFloor has the honour of being the main partner of this year's Sport_Tech Hackathon at the campus of the Technical University of Munich, organised by the Munich Student Athletes Club e.V. We are pleased to provide 18 m² of our state-of-the-art full LED video sports floor, ASB LumiFlex, as part of the challenge the students have to solve. Participants will have 24 hours to develop innovative content for our floor, with the unique task of creating an engaging half-time show for a basketball game. The premiere of the Infinity League, the revolutionary indoor football event by DAZN, took place last Sunday in Munich on the ASB GlassFloor. This event seamlessly combined football, cutting-edge technology, music, and interactive fan experiences. ASB GlassFloor played a significant role in enhancing the event. Its technology and gamification elements aimed to provide an immersive experience for both live attendees and viewers at home. The digital court displayed animations and sponsor displays, while additional LED boards added to the atmosphere, especially during the show acts. But it wasn’t just the visual spectacle that excited the players. They were equally impressed by the floor's exceptional playability, a testament to ASB GlassFloor's quality and innovation. This event once again highlighted the potential of ASB GlassFloor to revolutionise sports through technology and entertainment.
