DishHome uses MPEG-4 with DVB-S2 digital compression technology, transmitting HD and SH channels in Ku-Band on Amos at 65.0°E,DishHome relies on CAS (Conditional Access System) from Verimatrix, Conax/Nagravision and DRM (Digital Right Management) from CryptoGuard. Their STBs are provisioned by SandMartin and Arion.

DishHome has revolutionized the Nepalese households by being available all over Nepal, and offering a total of 200+ television channels, including 150+ SD and 50+ HD channels. [2]

Additionally, DishHome has launched DVB-C, DVB-T2 servies and its own fiber internet service, "DishHome Fibernet," which provides services in more than 35 districts of the nation.

Since then, it has become one of the top ISP providers in Nepal with over 300,000 subscribers. It uses fiber optic technology (GPON) for fast and reliable internet connectivity. DishHome Fibernet boasts high speed internet connection through advanced Wi-Fi 6 ONT in collaboration with Huawei by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd.

History

DishHome was founded in 2010 after the merger of two DTH providers, namely Home TV and Dish Nepal, with the aim of delivering cutting-edge digital entertainment and connectivity solutions. In 2011, SandMartin International Holding (SMT) became one of the shareholders of the company, bringing a wealth of expertise in new technologies and digital innovations, which further enhanced DishHome’s offerings and solidified its position as a pioneer in the industry.

Initially focusing on DTH services, the company expanded into Broadband, IPTV, Cloud Services, and the GO App (OTT) to meet the evolving needs of consumers and businesses.

DishHome crossed the first milestone of 100,000 DTH subscribers in 2012 and then experienced rapid growth, surpassing 300,000 subscribers by 2016. The company continued its impressive expansion, reaching 1.5 million subscribers by 2019. Within the following year, DishHome added another million DTH subscribers, bringing 2.5 million.
