Should mention the famous reference in Demolition Man to Arnold's presidency... AnonMoos (talk) 12:01, 22 October 2008 (UTC) cookies!Reply

Seeing as how the "Arnold Amendment" is relevant to the plot of the movie, I added a section about "entertainment connection". 2600:1700:C960:2270:AD88:A7DE:7537:66A0 (talk) 07:48, 28 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Inclusion of Ted Cruz?

edit

A recent edit made no changes other than to add Ted Cruz here. Politifact states that although the Constitution does not explicitly define 'natural-born citizen', legal experts contend that 'Cruz is a natural born citizen by being born to an American mother and having her citizenship at birth.'[1] All other persons mentioned are unambiguously naturalized U.S. citizens. As such, the inclusion of Ted Cruz on the list of potential beneficiaries from this amendment appears to violate NPOV, and I have undone this edit. Controversy about Ted Cruz's precise legal status is more relevant to the page on him, not this one.216.165.95.64 (talk) 20:37, 1 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

"In the wake of the 2003 California gubernatorial recall election against then-governor Gray Davis"

edit

I removed the phrase "In the wake of the 2003 California gubernatorial recall election against then-governor Gray Davis".[1] The reason why is that it doesn't seem particularly relevant to this Amendment. I checked the three cited sources and only one mentions the recall election (and only barely)[2] and two don't mention it at all.[3][4] I also checked our article, 2003 California gubernatorial recall election and it doesn't mention this proposed amendment in relation to the the recall. Feel free to revert if I've missed something. Also, feel free to restore this phrase with better wording if you think it deserves saving.
