imagine a non-mathematician reading this. They will get nothing out of it. But it seems fair that pareto fronts are a general concept for the thinking about the quality of a thing.
proposal: When evaluating suitability of a thing w.r.t. an objective, there may be conflicting equally desirable properties A and B. So you cannot be good at A and B at the same time. If you plot a 2D diagram with axis values A and B, then the pareto front is the depiction of all possible designs that are equally desirable in achieving A and B.
