Wording update

edit

This sentence says "using a mobile". I'm not sure what that's supposed to be...

"It verified the Automatic Neighbor Relations (ANR) feature in parts of a commercially deployed network in Sweden, using a mobile for a commercial chipset vendor. ANR automatically sets up neighbor relations based on actual radio conditions."

Proposed deletion

edit

Please do not delete this page - it refers to a new area of fully automatic, closed loop mobile network optimization that is standardized, referenceable and in early stage deployment. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.163.120.224 (talk) 2009-02-21

You're free to remove the WP:PROD; but the article needs citations from verifiable reliable sources that deployments are imminent, not to mention the other claims made about what SONs do. --Closeapple (talk) 18:19, 21 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Self-Optimizing NetworksSelf-Organizing Networks — The term that is established is self-organizing networks, which in term is divided into the sub-areas self-configuration, self-optimization and self-healing. Fgunnars (talk) 08:22, 10 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

As long as the text of the article has been blanked out pending a copyvio investigation it's hard to give an opinion. __meco (talk) 09:41, 10 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
I'm afraid I came to give an opinion and the text looked fishy. I found the copy-pasta source and had no choice but to blank. I'm not sure what the procedure is in such a case so I'll leave it to someone who knows. --Muhandes (talk) 10:01, 10 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Is anyone still claiming that the most recent version of the text (before the copyright notice was last restored) infringes some copyright? I can't see any excessive similarity with the text in the source that's given.--Kotniski (talk) 14:36, 18 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation needed?

edit

This seems to be about an specific example of self-organizing network, shouldn't there be a disambiguation between the general concept and this (proposed) implementation? --TiagoTiago (talk) 10:01, 10 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
