Burkhard Bamberger* (born 20.12.1964 in Bad Mergentheim) is a German Manager. He was the CFO at Loewe AG from 1998-2006 and Group CFO at Douglas Holding AG from 2006-2013.[1]

Biography

Burkhard Bamberger studied Business Administration at Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg. In 1994 he did a postgraduate academic degree in business administration (Dr. rer. pol.). Continuing his studies in 1995 with a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) in Montana, USA.

Bamberger started his career as a manager at KPMG in Frankfurt and Chicago. He worked in Corporate Finance for more than eight years and oversaw Mergers&Acquisitions. In 1999 Bamberger lead the IPO of Loewe AG (SDAX). In 2006 he was appointed Group CFO for Douglas Holding AG (MDAX).[2] After a public-to-private buyout through Advent International, the group Douglas, Thalia, Christ, Appelrath Cüpper and Hussel was delisted. Burkhard Bamberger now teaches Corporate Finance at the International School of Management and the European Business School[3]. He is an advisory board member and manages financial strategies at various companies. As of May 2018 he is the Non-executive director und interim CFO at Another Monday Group[4].

Burkhard Bamberger is married and has three sons.

Bamberger is the Chairman of the Medardus Foundation.

From 2003 - 2006 he was a board member of the Deutsches Aktieninstitut.[5]
