So are you believe the other side?

edit

You deleted what I wrote. Am I giving wrong information? Johnovski (talk) 20:55, 15 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Article's talk pages are not for general discussions about the subjects, but to discuss about improvements or issues with an article. StephenMacky1 (talk) 21:07, 15 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Okay, but am i wrong with this information?
I believe we North Macedonians need to wake up. And not to eat our fake history Johnovski (talk) 21:25, 15 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Look, people here aren't interested in discussing about such things, because that's not the purpose of this site. You can try Kajgana or Reddit, but good luck, people are so far down the hole there. StephenMacky1 (talk) 21:35, 15 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I don't know if you are from North Macedonia, but I know you skip the question like my friend there. Johnovski (talk) 21:40, 15 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yes, but that's not relevant. Also self-correction, the link is MOS:MAC. You can check it out. StephenMacky1 (talk) 21:45, 15 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
This is purely a political note, now historically this is not the case. But thanks for this page. Johnovski (talk) 21:56, 15 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Ooh wikipedia of North Macedonia. It just calls itself Macedonia, Why does Wikipedia allow this? Johnovski (talk) 22:05, 15 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Are you referring to the Macedonian Wikipedia? That's because they don't have the same policies and guidelines as the English Wikipedia here. Their rationale is that "Macedonia" is the common name in Macedonian. Unfortunately, there's currently no mechanism that allows for consistency in information between different Wikimedia projects.
I don't know what you mean by political note. MOS:MAC was made to save us trouble. StephenMacky1 (talk) 22:32, 15 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia of North Macedonia, I can't redirect - Article Македонија to Северна Македонија. What can I do? Why do we have so much propaganda? Johnovski (talk) 22:17, 19 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Actually, this Wikipedia is distinct from the Macedonian Wikipedia, as well as other language versions. It has no authority over what happens there. There is not much that can be done with the Macedonian Wikipedia. I tried to improve it myself, but I encountered a lot of resistance. StephenMacky1 (talk) 22:28, 19 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
If it is not changed I will try to report it to both governments, it is a huge propaganda and we have no right to use Vergina Sun ( Македонци ) with the Prespa Agreement they have organized and fixed things, in the end everything that started the 19th century.
Almost 5 years and nothing has changed on the internet? Which had to be done first thing Johnovski (talk) 20:36, 6 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
That will not work though since Wikipedia is not bound to the Prespa agreement, nor can governments dictate or influence content on Wikipedia. StephenMacky1 (talk) 21:18, 6 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
But the stories are the same, it is not possible for wikipedia (A) to say this and the other wikipedia (B) to say exactly the opposite.
Especially in Ancient times
In addition I read from all the wikipedias and North Macedonia Wikipedia is vastly different from the others and has no evidence for what it says (references)
it is literally unreal than all other countries.
In this way it's like it doesn't exist as a country but as a nationalist region that you don't take seriously Johnovski (talk) 23:35, 6 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
I know. Well, non-English language versions do contradict this language version, especially when it comes to national matters. This is also one of the criticisms against Wikipedia and unfortunately there is no mechanism to ensure consistency now. You are always welcome to edit here. There are articles that can be improved here too. StephenMacky1 (talk) 10:41, 7 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Mehmed II move

edit

why you moved Mehmed the conqueror to Mehmed II ? He is popularly known as "Mehmed The Conqueror" not by Mehmed II or Mehmed Thani . Now if this reason is not eligible then same goes with Suleiman the magnificent he should be known as Suleiman I But he is known as his title used by people in same way for Mehmed's people used Mehmed Faith after his conquest of Constantinople. So he should be also known as his magnificent title used by people. Therealbey (talk) 13:08, 17 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello. The latest move of the article was on May 2022. It is the status quo version with consensus. If you want to move the article back to Mehmed the Conqueror, you can freely start a formal move request and make a case for it. Article's titles are mostly a case by case. okay I see. Therealbey (talk) 13:22, 17 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
