Marek Gajdošík

Yet another long-unsourced article of a Slovak men's footballer who seems to have a minor career. According to Soccerway, his career in higher level clubs lasted between 107 and 800 minutes. He went missing from 2015 until 2023, but came back to play for third tier club FK Beluša, then disappeared again. I can't find any better source than passing mentions and database from my searches. Luis Olaso

Footballer whose article has no footnotes, and whose only references are external links to database entries, and so does not meet general notability or sports notability in its current state. The article says that he played for the Spanish national team, which is probably true but unverified, and there isn't a football notability guideline that says that this is notability or presumed notability. The Heymann criterion is to find two reliable sources that provide significant coverage within seven days.

Of all the poorly sourced footballer articles around, why pick a player for AfD who played for two of the biggest clubs in Spain and made four international appearances for Spain? 🤔 What did your "search for additional sources" per WP:BEFORE yield? So what exactly makes this guy notable? Being the son of Michael Vaughan, is all I can tell. He hasn't played cricket at a senior level and hasn't done anything of note in cricket to warrant inclusion. No amount of WP:ROUTINE refbombs can hide that he is a WP:GNG fail. Another long-unsourced stub regarding a Slovak men's footballer who played a total of 47 minutes before suddenly disappearing in 1999. SME might be the best reliable secondary source that mentions his name, but it's only in an image caption which does not count towards significant coverage. Comment. The article is from ye olden times and is not satisfactory with current guidelines. The false information about 47 minutes is a misinterpretation of 47 matches in the Czechoslovak First League, and he did of course have a longer career before and after that even though WorldFootball has not recorded it. But someone has to have recorded something in order to have a Wikipedia article. This piece is an overview of his career. Comment. That article linked by Geschichte appears in the Czech-language version of the page. It is a good start. The link from Clariniie suggests he played in European competitions in the 1994–95 season on top of the league matches. Sources likely exist. I was able to find details of his performances in the Czechoslovak First League: 1990–91 season, 1991–92 season (didn't play), 1992–93 season for 42 appearances and 6 goals. Dinis Lopes

Dinis Lopes never played in a professional league match and doesn't seem to pass WP:GNG or WP:SPORTBASIC. After many searches, I was able to find some routine coverage but no WP:SIGCOV. Sapo was probably the best source but it only really confirms that he signed a two-year contract and that he used to play for Pedras Rubras. Record is basically the same as Sapo above. Mais Futebol has a transfer announcement, this time about him signing for Salgueiros, but it contains no significant coverage. This had been tagged for notability since 2014 but I removed it based on the fact that he meets the now-defunct WP:FOOTYN. I was not able to find any evidence of being able to pass WP:GNG or WP:SPORTBASIC, though. Diário de Santo Tirso was the best source but it's a basic transfer announcement other than for the very brief quote, Record is another source but is way too brief and Gazeta Paços de Ferreira is only a squad list mention. Heather Cooper

Fails WP:SPORTSCRIT. Prod was removed by an editor who added sources. However, almost all the sources are primary. E.g. from Handball Australia. The ABC source is third party but it's not WP:SIGCOV. Jana Labáthová

There are some mentions on online newspapers of her being paired with Nada Daabousová in the synchronized swimming competition at the 2016 Summer Olympics, but I could not find any in-depth coverage of Labáthová herself that would pass WP:GNG. Corresponding article on Slovak Wikipedia is an unsourced stub, which may help copy over English article otherwise. No news about Labáthová have been reported since then either. ⋆｡˚꒰ঌ Clara A. - Source #1 mentions Labáthová in the first five paragraphs, Source #2 does not address her in-depth, and Source #3 mentions her in one paragraph repeated from the title. Most of these sources are interviews and paid promotions and do not help pass WP:NFOOTY. The player has not garnered significant reliable coverage for any other achievements because he has not played at an international level and he has not played for an entirely professional league to satisfy WP:GNG. He is an upcoming player but it is too early to warrant a page on this subject because of insufficient significant achievements.

Thank you for your response. In this case, "speedily delete" refers to speedy deletion, a separate, much quicker procedure which does not need a discussion to delete a page. This rugby article is not eligible to be deleted through that medium. However, in my opinion, the subject has not received significant coverage from reliable sources that cover him directly and in detail and thus might fail our general notability guidelines, which is why I brought it to a discussion.
