Actually, a "teaspoon" is not 5 ml in the US, that is only for a "metric teaspoon". In the US, it is approximately 4.92892159375 ml.

231 in3/gal × 2.543 cm3/in3 ÷ (6 tsp/oz × 32 oz/qt × 4 qt/gal) ≈ 4.92892159375 cm3

And, of course 1 ml = 1 cm3

This is for a liquid teaspoon, a dry teaspoon would be different since a dry gallon is 268.8025 in3. This works out to be approximately 5.735525743307291 ml. SeanSeoltoir (discusscontribs) 03:31, 25 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
