Title?

[edit]

Shouldn't this category be called Film-related Lists to be consistent with other list categories? Kleinzach 11:14, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps. However, these are mostly not film-related lists, they are lists of films. The minority of articles in this cat which are film-related should perhaps be spun off into a separate list.
However, I am just in the process of removing most of the subcats as the subcats do not mainly contain articles which are lists but articles on individual films! Valiantis 14:36, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Good luck if you are going to remove the anomaly, but please note XXX-related lists is simply the normal format. - Kleinzach 15:37, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Comprehensive lists

[edit]

The following lists are (aiming to become) all inclusive and should be up on top, along with Lists of films:
List of films: numbers, List of films: A-D, List of films: E-I, List of films: J-R, List of films: S-Z. Also List of years in film should be present in this Category page, and since it's also aiming at becoming all inclusive, it should be up top too. Hoverfish 08:29, 18 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The four lists by letters have now been split to 20 pages. The original four pages contain all the past edit histories and each has a list of links to its separate pages. I am not sure if this category still applies to them. Hoverfish 17:06, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The new 20 lists by letters should be included up on top, before the alphabetical arrangement of pages. They are the (still incomplete) index of film articles. Hoverfish 17:32, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Style guidelines for comprehensive lists: The year in film?

[edit]

I'm escalating my comment from Talk:List of films: E to here where it is more likely to be noticed sooner by a relevant person: The guidelines call for linking the year in the (year) "NNNN in film" article, yet not one single entry on this page conforms with those guidelines. (I haven't checked other letters, just E.) Should this guideline be removed? Or should the entire page be edited to conform with the guidelines? --Eliyahu S Talk 01:09, 16 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
